ECSTATIC DANCE DECEMBER 2ND IS CANCELLED
Kara (our door greeter) started feeling sick on Saturday morning (Nov 27th) and tested positive for covid on Nov 28th.. We believe she got it outside of dance. There's no way of knowing if she was contagious on Thursday at Ecstatic Dance, but since she greeted everyone we feel it's best to play it safe by cancelling dance this week. (I tested negative this morning.)
If you spent more than a brief moment with Kara and have any concerns, I highly recommend you get tested. Drive-up testing at WVT in Corvallis (www.wvtlab.com) is quick and easy (and free for most people, if not everyone). You can find all local testing and vaccination sites here:

If you do ever test positive for covid and have been to dance within the past two weeks, I would greatly appreciate if you notify me. I will surely keep your identity anonymous if you prefer, but it's important for me to know if there are cases within the active dance community so I can cancel dance when it seems too risky and otherwise caution everyone.
Kara has been vaccinated, so this is a breakthrough case and an important reminder of why proper masking is so important to help protect both ourselves and each other. Kara knows that she has everyone's best wishes, and would like to focus on resting at the moment and therefore not receive a barrage of messages. She'll be taking a break from dance for at least a few weeks and will only return once she tests negative.
